A look at how a normal painting job runs — from first quote to walking back into a finished room.
Painting and decorating is one of those jobs where the difference between cheap and good is mostly invisible until you look closely — and then it's enormous. Here's how a normal job runs with us.
1. Honest quote, in person
We come round, look at the rooms, talk through colours and finish, and quote a fixed price including materials. No 'plus extras as required'.
2. Proper prep
Furniture moved or covered, floors protected, fillings done in the right product, sanding back, caulk into corners, dust down. This is where most jobs are won or lost.
3. Two-coat finish, minimum
Quality paints, two coats minimum on walls, eggshell on woodwork unless agreed. Cuts in by hand, not masking-tape-and-hope.
4. Tidy hand-back
Furniture back where it was, hoover round, leftover paint labelled and left with you for touch-ups. We send you photos of the finished rooms in case you want to compare against the 'before'.
