Top Trends to Refresh Your Living Space This Year
8 September 2025 · 3 min read

The interior trends actually worth committing to — and the ones we wouldn't bother painting your house for.
We're not trend-chasers — but as decorators we do see what people want re-painted six months later, and what they keep. Here's our honest field guide.
Worth committing to
- Warm neutrals (Slaked Lime, Setting Plaster, French Gray) — they age forgivingly.
- Wall panelling done in real timber bead, not stick-on MDF strips.
- One bold-colour room (a study, a downstairs loo) instead of the whole house.
Already cooling
- Cold grey everywhere.
- Fully grey kitchens with stainless handles — they're starting to date.
- All-black bathrooms that you can't actually see in to clean.
Quietly classic
White woodwork, eggshell finish on skirting, satin not gloss, and natural-fibre window dressings. Boring on paper, brilliant in real homes.
