Exterior door frame repair, new door and hardwood threshold

A pair of matching exterior doors, one each side of a covered passage, had rotten frames and failing thresholds. Both frames were repaired, the doors replaced and new hardwood thresholds fitted.

Two doors, one problem

The building had two identical exterior doors facing each other through a covered passage. Both had weathered badly: the old doors were tired, the frame bases had softened and the painted thresholds had broken down.

Frames repaired, thresholds replaced

The damaged sections of each frame were repaired and the old thresholds removed. New hardwood thresholds were fitted, giving a solid, weather-resistant base at each doorway.

New doors hung

Replacement doors were hung in the repaired frames with fresh hinges and handles, leaving both entrances secure and closing properly again.
